Ouch!

Two hikers were hit by lightning.

ASPEN — Two youths were struck by lightning Sunday afternoon while hiking in Pitkin County.

The siblings, a 15-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy, were hiking with family members on the American Lake Trail when they were hit.

According to the Pitkin County Sheriff's Office, the girl needed CPR to revive her. Her brother suffered burns to the bottoms of both feet. They were transported by ambulance to Aspen Valley Hospital.
