Sad News
A hiker died in Arizona.

An elderly man died Tuesday, possibly of a heat-related illness, while hiking at a mountain park in Glendale.

The victim, described by firefighters as a man in his mid-70s, collapsed and died at Thunderbird Conservation Park, near 59th Avenue and Deer Valley Road.

Glendale police are investigating the cause of death, said Firefighter Daniel Valenzuela, a spokesman for the Glendale Fire Department.

Update: The hiker has been identified.
A Glendale man who died while hiking in Thunderbird Conservation Park last Tuesday has been identified by police as William J. Marsh, 75.
