Appalachian Trail Closure

Fire has closed the Appalachian Trail in Virginia.

The fire is burning on Sinking Creek Mountain in Craig County, about 12 miles northeast of Blacksburg. Schiffer says a section of the Appalachian Trail between Virginia 42 and Virginia 621 is closed.
