CONCORD, N.H. -- Crews were searching Friday for a missing Vermont man who was hiking in the White Mountain National Forest.The Fish and Game Department said Robert Hughes, 59, of Williamsville, Vt., was last seen when he was dropped off at the trailhead by the Appalachian Mountain Club shuttle at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
